There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in LNB. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
The most exciting game of round 2 in the LNB took place in Santo Domingo. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of Soles to Marineros 81-79 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. 30 personal fouls committed by Soles helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Sydney Curry (203-2000, college: GCU, agency: JCK Sports Group) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Andersson Garcia (201-2000, college: Texas A&M) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American guard Hysier Miller (185-2002, college: Virginia Tech) replied with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for Soles. Soles' coach Anderson Cabrera tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Marineros are looking forward to face Reales in La Vega in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Soles will play on the road against Indios in San Francisco and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in San Cristobal was also worth to mention about. Caneros played at the court of Titanes. Caneros managed to secure a 9-point victory 83-74. American guard Lamonte Bearden (191-1995, college: WKU) scored 31 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Andre Norris chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. point guard Richard Bautista (185-1997) responded with 21 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Titanes' coach let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Caneros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Titanes will play on the road against Indios in San Francisco and hope to get back on the winning track.
The game in La Vega was also quite interesting. Metros played at the court of Reales. Metros defeated Reales 91-80 on Sunday. Jhery Matos notched 33 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort. Even 13 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists by Walter Lemon Jr did not help to save the game for Reales. Reales' coach Nestor Diaz gave the chance to play for twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Metros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Reales will play against Marineros in Puerto Plata and hope to win that game.
